Painting in the Las Vegas climate
Dry desert air makes caulk and wood move, so gaps open at trim joints. We fill and caulk before painting, and use enamels that cure hard for high-traffic doors and baseboards.
Questions
Should I paint trim when I paint walls?
It is the best time. Fresh walls against old trim highlight the wear. Adding trim to a room is one tap in our calculator.
What sheen is best for trim?
Semi-gloss is the common choice for durability and wipe-ability. Satin gives a softer look.
Can you paint doors without removing them?
Yes. We can paint in place with a sprayed or rolled finish, or remove them for the smoothest result.
